Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-05-03

These Terms govern your use of AAPPI's Website and Marketplace. By creating an account or booking an inspection, you agree to these Terms.

1. Definitions

In these Terms:

  • "AAPPI", "we", "us", "our" means AAPPI Pty Ltd (ABN [TBC]), the operator of the AAPPI marketplace.
  • "Website" means https://aappi.com.au and any sub-domains.
  • "Marketplace" means the AAPPI online platform that connects consumers with workshops for pre-purchase vehicle inspections.
  • "Workshop" means an automotive workshop listed on the Marketplace that provides Inspection Services.
  • "Inspection Services" means the pre-purchase vehicle inspection performed by a Workshop on a vehicle, resulting in a written report.
  • "You", "your" means the natural person using the Website or booking an Inspection Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and capable of forming a binding contract under Australian law to use the Marketplace. By using AAPPI you confirm you meet these requirements.

3. Your account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@aappi.com.au if you suspect unauthorised access.

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when registering and to keep that information up to date.

4. AAPPI’s role as a marketplace

AAPPI operates as a marketplace. We facilitate the booking, payment, and delivery of Inspection Services performed by independent Workshops. AAPPI is not the inspecting mechanic and does not perform the Inspection Services itself.

Workshops listed on the Marketplace are independent businesses. The Inspection Service is a contract between you and the Workshop, even though it is booked and paid for via AAPPI.

5. Bookings and payment

When you book an Inspection Service through AAPPI, payment is collected at the time of booking. The booking is confirmed once the Workshop accepts the requested time. If the Workshop cannot accept the booking, AAPPI will refund you in full or assist in rebooking with another Workshop.

AAPPI charges the price displayed on the Workshop's listing. There are no hidden fees. AAPPI keeps a marketplace commission and remits the balance to the Workshop.

6. Cancellations and refunds

You may cancel a booking up to [TBC] hours before the scheduled inspection time for a full refund. Cancellations within [TBC] hours of the scheduled time may incur a [TBC]% cancellation fee, payable to the Workshop for time held.

If a Workshop cancels, you will receive a full refund or, where possible, AAPPI will rebook the inspection at no additional cost.

7. The inspection report

The Inspection Report is the written assessment produced by the Workshop, delivered via the AAPPI platform. The report is an opinion based on a visual and mechanical inspection performed at a single point in time.

The report is not a warranty or guarantee that the vehicle is fault-free, will not develop faults in the future, or is fit for any particular purpose. It is a tool to inform your purchase decision.

8. Limitations of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Australian Consumer Law, AAPPI's liability for any claim relating to the Marketplace or the Inspection Services is limited to the amount you paid for the Inspection Service in question.

AAPPI is not liable for the performance of the Workshop, the accuracy of the inspection findings, or any decision you make about whether to purchase the inspected vehicle.

Nothing in these Terms excludes any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)) that cannot lawfully be excluded.

9. Workshop terms

If you are a Workshop using the Marketplace, additional terms apply. Those terms are provided to you at onboarding and form part of the agreement between you and AAPPI.

10. Intellectual property

The Website, Marketplace, AAPPI brand, and all related content (excluding the Inspection Reports authored by Workshops) are the intellectual property of AAPPI Pty Ltd or its licensors. You may not copy, reproduce, or republish any part without our written permission.

Inspection Reports delivered to you are yours to keep, share, and use in connection with your vehicle purchase.

11. Privacy

Your personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

12. Disputes and governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. The parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland.

Before commencing any legal proceedings, please contact us at legal@aappi.com.au so we can attempt to resolve the issue directly.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version is always the version published on this page, with the “Last updated” date at the top. Material changes will be notified to registered users by email.
